MOTU, 2003 Dream Halloweenby *valstaples

We did special comics for the Dream Halloween event to help raise money for the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation.
We did one in 2002, and then we did this one in 2003.
It was illustrated by Emiliano Santalucia.

The monsters around the heroes are a mix of creatures from the Mike Young Productions cartoon, and from the classic Filmation cartoon.
We were able to get away with this thanks to not calling them out by name.

I'm curious if anyone can name all the monsters.

Dang, I really wish I had one of these without the cover dress. I liked how the light pulled you in to the heroes.

I think I may go back to using more of this hard airbrush style.
If I worked in more shadows, I think it would come together quite well.

Also, EraserX

worked on interiors for this!

I offered him a Snickers bar and he couldn't resist.
He was really poor at the time and would work for candy.

- Still one of my favorite pieces of art from the entire Masters of the Universe run, AND the first time I actually fell in love with the Snake Armor He-Man design!
